Mango Nut Bread Recipe



½ cup of butter or vegetable shortening
¾ cups sugar
2 eggs
2/3 cup of raw mango, cut fine
2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon of soda
1 tablespoon of lime juice
¼ teaspoons salt


Cream shortening and add sugar.  Add eggs.  Stir in dry ingredients, mangos and lime juice.  Mix all together.  Add ½ cup of chopped nuts.  Bake in a loaf pan at 375 degrees for 1 hour.  Do not cut until the second day.
