Tangerine Salsa

If you’re sweet on citrus, this tropical-inspired salsa will be your new favorite game day treat! Honey-sweet tangerines and fresh-squeezed lime add refreshing, tangy-sweet flavor to traditional tomato salsa, while a splash of hot sauce adds extra zip. Great for holiday parties, this citrusy salsa will be a hit with the whole family.


4 or 5 Hale Groves Honey-Sweet Tangerines

1 Tbsp. olive oil

1 small red onion, chopped fine

6 ripe Roma tomatoes, chopped

1 Tbsp. lime juice, fresh squeezed

2 tsp hot sauce

Sea salt, to taste


  • Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook onions until just caramelized. Add tomatoes and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  • In a large bowl, mix together cooked tomatoes and onions with the tangerines. Stir in the lime juice, hot sauce and salt.
  • Serve with tortilla chips. Refrigerate for up to 3 days.
