{"id":41151,"date":"2013-01-09T01:28:00","date_gmt":"2013-01-09T01:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.halegroves.com\/blog\/recipe\/tropical-spicy-steak-salad\/"},"modified":"2022-02-11T12:02:47","modified_gmt":"2022-02-11T12:02:47","slug":"tropical-spicy-steak-salad","status":"publish","type":"cuisine-recipe","link":"https:\/\/www.halegroves.com\/blog\/recipe\/tropical-spicy-steak-salad\/","title":{"rendered":"Tropical Spicy Steak Salad Recipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900\">INGREDIENTS<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">3\/8 cup lime juice<br \/>  3 cups <span style=\"color: #ffcc00\">Hale grapefruit juice<br \/>  <\/span>&frac12; tablespoon ground coriander<br \/>  &frac12; tablespoon crushed red pepper<br \/>  1 teaspoon ground black pepper<br \/>  3\/8 cup cream of coconut<br \/>  2 &frac14; pounds trimmed beef flank steak<br \/>  1 &frac12; tablespoon Dijon mustard<br \/>  &frac14; cup plus 3 teaspoons olive oil<br \/>  24 cups mixed salad greens (1 &frac12; pounds)<br \/>  &frac12; cup thinly sliced red onion<br \/>  &frac12; cup sliced red bell pepper, &frac14; inch thick<br \/>  1 &frac12; cups cooked black beans, drained and rinsed<br \/>  2 cups <\/span><span style=\"color: #ffcc00\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">Hale grapefruit sections<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900\">PREPARATION<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">To prepare the marinade and dressing, combine the line juice, Hale <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10pt\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.halegroves.com\/fruit-gift-baskets\/c\/3000\/\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">grapefruit juice<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">, coriander, crushed pepper, black pepper and cream of coconut. Divide the liquid in half, pour the first half (the marinade) over the flank steak, cover and marinate for 24 hours. To the second half (the dressing), slowly add the mustard and oil while whisking, cover and refrigerate.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">Remove the flank steak and discard the marinade. Pat dry and grill the flank steak for 5-6 minutes per side, remove from the grill and keep warm.
