{"id":41252,"date":"2012-06-10T04:41:00","date_gmt":"2012-06-10T04:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.halegroves.com\/blog\/recipe\/baked-orange-and-pear-crisp\/"},"modified":"2022-02-11T12:02:56","modified_gmt":"2022-02-11T12:02:56","slug":"baked-orange-and-pear-crisp","status":"publish","type":"cuisine-recipe","link":"https:\/\/www.halegroves.com\/blog\/recipe\/baked-orange-and-pear-crisp\/","title":{"rendered":"Baked Orange and Pear Crisp Recipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><span style=\"color: rgb(255,153,0)\">INGREDIENTS<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">1 16 ounce can pear halves<br \/>  &frac14; cup quick-cook rolled oats<br \/>  2 tablespoons unsalted butter or margarine, cut into small chunks<br \/>  2 tablespoons all-purpose fl our<br \/>  2 tablespoons firmly packed, light brown sugar<br \/>  1 teaspoon grated <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Hale orange zest<br \/>  <\/span>Pinch of salt<br \/>  2 <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Hale navel oranges<br \/>  <\/span>2 tablespoons orange flavored liqueur<br \/>  1 tablespoon butter for greasing baking dish<br \/>  <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma\"><span style=\"font-size: large\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><span style=\"color: rgb(255,153,0)\">PREPARATION<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">Preheat oven to 450 degrees.<br \/>  Place pear halves on paper towel to drain. Slice lengthwise.<br \/>  In a small bowl, stir together oats, butter chunks, sugar, orange zest and<br \/>  pinch of salt. Mix until it resembles coarse meal.<br \/>  With a sharp knife, cut away and discard peel and pith from oranges. Cut<br \/>  orange sections free from membranes. Toss together orange sections,<br \/>  pear slices, and liqueur, and place in a buttered shallow baking dish.<br \/>  Sprinkle dry mixture over the top and bake in center of oven for 15<br \/>  minutes or until top is crisp and golden.
