{"id":41259,"date":"2014-03-06T07:45:00","date_gmt":"2014-03-06T07:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.halegroves.com\/blog\/recipe\/braised-pork-chops-with-grapefruit\/"},"modified":"2023-10-10T00:44:32","modified_gmt":"2023-10-10T00:44:32","slug":"braised-pork-chops-with-grapefruit","status":"publish","type":"cuisine-recipe","link":"https:\/\/www.halegroves.com\/blog\/recipe\/braised-pork-chops-with-grapefruit\/","title":{"rendered":"Braised Pork Chops with Grapefruit Recipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma\"><span style=\"color: rgb(255,153,0)\">INGREDIENTS<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma\">4 Pork Chops, cut 1 inch thick<br \/>  Flour<br \/>  2 tablespoons unsalted butter or margarine<br \/>  1 tablespoon vegetable oil<br \/>  2 small onions, sliced and separated<br \/>  2 fresh pears, cored, quartered<br \/>  &frac12; cup water<br \/>  1 teaspoon dried leaf marjoram<br \/>  &frac14; teaspoon ground cinnamon<br \/>  2 <span style=\"color: rgb(255, 204, 0);\">Hale grapefruit<\/span>, peeled and sectioned<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma\"><span style=\"color: rgb(255,153,0)\">PREPARATION<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma\">Flour pork chops liberally on both sides.<br \/>  In large skillet, heat butter and oil over medium heat; brown pork chops<br \/>  on both sides; remove; reserve. Saut&eacute; onion rings in fat remaining in<br \/>  skillet. Return chops to skillet; add pears and water; sprinkle with marjoram and cinnamon. Cook over low heat 1 hour and 15 minutes until chops are tender and sauce is thickened.
