Here\u2019s a fresh fall take on classic peach cobbler! You don\u2019t have to peel the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.halegroves.com\/empress-plums\/p\/964\/\"> plums<\/a> for this recipe, and if you prefer a less sweet flavor cut the sugar back to a half cup. Easy and delicious with a warm, biscuit topping, feel free to top with vanilla ice cream or fresh whipped cream and sprinkle with more cinnamon for an impressive dessert.<\/p>\n<h3>Ingredients:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>14 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.halegroves.com\/empress-plums\/p\/964\/\">Hale Groves Empress Plums<\/a> (or enough to make 4 cups when seeded and sliced)<\/li>\n<li>\u00be + 2 Tbsp. sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 Tbsp. cornstarch<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp. orange zest, grated<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc tsp. cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>1 c. all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>1\u00bd tsp. baking powder<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc tsp. salt<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc c. butter<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc c. milk<\/li>\n<li>1 egg, lightly beaten<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Directions:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. In a large bowl, combine plums, \u00be cup sugar, corn starch, zest, and cinnamon. Place mixture in a 2-quart casserole dish.<\/li>\n<li>In a medium bowl, combine the remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter with a fork until the mixture forms coarse crumbs. Stir in milk and egg until just moistened (do not overmix).<\/li>\n<li>Drop batter in large spoonfuls onto fruit mixture. Bake until the cobbler topping is nicely browned and filling is bubbly (about 35 minutes).
