Every bit as good as peach pie, the beauty of using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.halegroves.com\/nectarines\/c\/ft_1001_31\/\">nectarines<\/a> with their smooth, thin skins is that you don\u2019t have to peel them first. Serve warm or cold, plain or topped with whipped cream or a scoop of French vanilla ice cream.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h4><em>Pie:<\/em><\/h4>\n<p>5 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.halegroves.com\/nectarines\/c\/ft_1001_31\/\">Hale Groves Nectarines<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2154 c. white sugar<\/p>\n<p>4 Tbsp. all-purpose flour<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd tsp. cinnamon<\/p>\n<p>\u00bc tsp. nutmeg<\/p>\n<p>\u215b tsp. ginger<\/p>\n<p>1 c. heavy whipping cream<\/p>\n<p>\u00bc tsp. vanilla extract<\/p>\n<p>1 unbaked pie shell, 9&#8243;<\/p>\n<h4><em>Crumble topping (optional):<\/em><\/h4>\n<p>\u00bd c. all-purpose flour<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd c. brown sugar<\/p>\n<p>\u00bc c. butter<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Preheat oven to 400\u00b0<\/li>\n<li>In a bowl, combine sugar, 4 tablespoons flour, cinnamon, heavy cream and vanilla extract. Set aside.<\/li>\n<li>Cut nectarines in half and remove pits. Slice nectarine half and place in pie shell.<\/li>\n<li>Pour cream mixture over and around nectarine slices.<\/li>\n<li>If adding topping, mix together brown sugar and \u00bd cup flour; cut in butter and stir with fork until crumbly.
