Five Keys to Giving Successful Fruit Gifts

By: The Hale Groves Team | On: | Category: Gift Ideas

Giving fruit gifts is becoming more common as more people are looking toward eating healthier. People that once chose to send cakes, cookies and candy are now choosing to send fruit gifts instead. The new practice of sending fruit gifts instead of high calorie sweets is becoming more popular in many countries, especially in the Western world where sweets are consumed as part of the daily diet.

The most important thing to remember about making your fruit gifts successful is to make sure you give something the recipient can and will eat. Sometimes you don’t know what those fruits are, but at the same time you don’t want to send something you know does not appeal to the recipient.

You also want to make sure you allow enough time for your gift to arrive. Waiting until the last minute to send fruit gifts is not a good idea, especially if it is during a very busy holiday such as Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day. That isn’t to say other holidays and occasions are not important as well, but you need to be especially careful during high traffic holidays.

You need to choose a vendor that is capable of delivering your fruit gifts on time and in perfect condition. It does you no good if you take the time to order fruit gifts and the vendor delivers them late or in such poor condition the recipient is unable to enjoy the contents. A reliable vendor is a very important part of becoming a successful giver of fruit gifts.

You also want to make sure you deal with a vendor that is competitive in the market. What that means is you don’t want to look for the lowest price but rather a vendor that is well known but offers competitive pricing. When a vendor charges less than the average market price it tends to show he is attempting to boost sales while someone charging more than the market average may be looking for the cr?me of the crop and nothing in between.

The final thing you want to remember is to make sure you are very clear when you order any fruit gifts. Quite often the problem with orders is the result of customers who are not clear in what they want. If you have a recipient that can’t eat grapefruit, be very explicit with the vendor. If you want an edible arrangement rather than a fruit basket, make that very clear as well. The more precise you are with your order the better the chances are of the recipient getting exactly what you ordered.
