Fruit Baskets: Bring The Farmers Market To Your Doorstep

How much fun is a Farmer’s Market? All the fresh aromas, the colors of fresh produce, great prices, even all the knick knack stalls and kettle popcorn vendors that find their way into the market add to the experience. But probably the biggest treat is tasting the samples of fresh fruit. Your grocery store fruit doesn’t taste this way does it? Can you begin to see the value of a fresh fruit basket when the Farmers’ Market season is over?

Fruit baskets can bring that same delicious taste experience right to your front door. It really doesn’t matter what you order, oranges, tangerines, pears, apples or grapefruit, what you are going to get is fresh and that just makes all the difference in the world. When your grocery store gets a shipment of fruit it’s at least two weeks off the tree already. That can be even longer if it is imported from Chile, Mexico or Brazil which do a booming business in the US during our winter, their summer.

Fresh makes the difference of biting into an orange and having the juice dribble down the corner of your mouth or having to really suck on the fruit to get any juice at all. And it’s not just about juice quantity, the real difference is quality. Fresh juice tastes…well it tastes fresh. You get the whole experience as it was meant to be.

Fruit baskets are the best way to get this freshness because it’s a lot like ordering from the Farmers’ Market. Fruit basket providers are in the states where the fruit is actually grown. Many times the grower will even open his own fruit basket business as well as sell to the wholesalers. In those cases, where you’re buying directly from the grove, it’s the same as buying at the Farmers’ Market.

When that fruit basket arrives at your front door there is going to be this enormous smile on your face. It’s the sight of the colorful fruit but also the aroma that will get you salivating. Try to control yourself and wait until the rest of the family gets home before you sample it. If you simply can’t resist and snatch one, rearrange the rest and nobody will know.

Here’s a word of warning. Unless you are prepared to give away half the basket, don’t have a fruit basket delivered to your workplace. Even your best friend might turn nasty if you don’t offer a taste. Avoid those embarrassing moments and have it delivered to your home, or better yet to your spouses’ place of employment and let him or her deal with it.
