Keeping sanitizer with you at all times is a good weapon to use against germs but at the end of the day nothing beats eating a healthy diet, getting enough rest, and boosting your immune system with navel oranges and other citrus fruits.

If you can prevent yourself from catching colds or the flu you won’t have to worry about getting sick, missing work, or feeling miserable for a week for more. Since the people all around you could be carrying germs you should always have some navel oranges with you and eat citrus fruit at least twice a day. It’s not hard to work citrus fruit into your daily diet. Just substitute an orange for your afternoon candy bar or have a grapefruit with your breakfast. Citrus fruits are low in calorie so you don’t have to worry about eating too many additional calories in order to stay healthy.

Eating three or more navel oranges a day will give your immune system a turbo boost it can use to kick out any germs that might be making you sick. Simply adding rich, sweet and healthy navel oranges and other citrus fruits to your diet is enough to keep you healthy this winter. So stock up on citrus fruit and skip the doctor’s office this winter.
