Everyone knows that you need to get your daily dose of vitamins, minerals and nutrients each day by eating healthy and drinking plenty of good for you fluids. Many people will mindlessly reach into the refrigerator, pull out the carton, pour, and gulp down a large glass of orange juice in the morning along side their refreshing cup of coffee and a piece of toast before running off to school, the office, to the gym or to where ever is more important than home. Orange juice is included in the archetype of an ‘American breakfast’. But why is that? Everyone knows that you can get your Vitamin C from orange juice, or from citrus fruits of all sorts for that matter, but that is it right? The anti-carcinogenic properties of these delicious fruits is said to also be a simple but essential preventative measure against cancer.
