Fruit-Berry Freeze Recipe
Recipe Type: BeveragesContinue ReadingINGREDIENTS 1 cup Florida grapefruit juice ½ cup fresh or frozen strawberries 1 to 2 tablespoons honey 2/3 cup club soda, divided Crushed ice Fresh strawberries for garnish (optional) PREPARATION In container of electric blender, combine grapefruit juice, strawberries (except those for garnish) and honey; puree. Pour over ice in 2 tall glasses. Add 1/3 cup club soda to each. Stir. Garnish with a fresh strawberry, if desired. YIELD: 2 servings.

Recipe Type: BeveragesContinue ReadingINGREDIENTS ¾ cup Florida orange juice, chilled ¾ cup Florida grapefruit juice, chilled 1 small banana 2 eggs ½ cup vanilla yogurt 1 ½ tablespoons honey Wheat germ PREPARATION In container of electric blender, combine juice, banana, eggs, yogurt and honey. Cover. Process until smooth. Pour into serving glasses. Sprinkle each with wheat germ (optional). YIELD: 2 servings.

Recipe Type: BeveragesContinue ReadingINGREDIENTS 2 ½ cups Florida grapefruit juice, chilled 1 ½ cups (one 12-ounce can) apricot nectar, chilled 1 bottle (10 ounces) club soda, chilled 2/3 cup orange-flavored liqueur such as Triple Sec, Grand Marnier or Curacao (optional) 1 cup orange sherbet PREPARATION In punch bowl combine grapefruit juice, apricot nectar, club soda and liqueur; mix well. Float spoonfuls of orange sherbet on top. Serve immediately YIELD: 12 to 14 servings (about 7 cups).

Recipe Type: BeveragesContinue ReadingINGREDIENTS 1 cup Hale grapefruit juice ¾ cup light rum 1 large banana, peeled, cut in chunks 3 tablespoons canned cream of coconut 2 cups ice cubes Hale Orange slices and maraschino cherries for garnish, if desired PREPARATION Combine all ingredients in a blender. Cover. Process until mixture is slushy. Add ½ to 1 cup more ice, if necessary. Serve immediately in tall glasses. Garnish with an orange slice and maraschino cherry, if desired. YIELD: 3 servings.

Recipe Type: BeveragesContinue ReadingINGREDIENTS juice of 1 large lime juice of 1 small Hale grapefruit juice of 1 medium lemon juice of 1 medium Hale orange 1/2 cup superfine sugar (granulated sugar may be substituted) 3 cups crushed ice PREPARATION Combine the juices. (They should make approximately 1 cup of liquid.) Place the juices and the other ingredients in a food processor or blender and mix until smooth. The frappe´ will keep in freezer for an hour or so. YIELD: two 10 ounce servings. Preparation time: 5 minutes.

Recipe Type: BeveragesContinue ReadingINGREDIENTS 2 cups water 4 tea bags 3 whole cloves 1 cinnamon stick, 3 inches long 1 cup Hale orange juice 1 cup Hale grapefruit juice 3 tablespoons butter or margarine (optional) ½ cup light rum (optional) 5 to 8 tablespoons sugar (to taste) PREPARATION In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Remove from heat. Add tea bags and spices; cover, brew 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and spices. Add orange juice and grapefruit juice. Heat through but do not boil. Remove from heat. Recipe Type: BeveragesContinue ReadingINGREDIENTS 1 cup Florida grapefruit juice ¼ cup anisette (anise-flavor Liqueur) ¼ cup heavy cream Ice cubes 2 black licorice sticks, (3 inches each) 2 red licorice shoe strings (2 inches each) PREPARATION In cocktail shaker combine grapefruit juice, anisette, heavy cream and 3 or 4 ice cubes. Shake vigorously 30 seconds. Strain into cocktail glasses. Garnish with licorice sticks. Yield: 2 servings.

Orange Tango Recipe
Recipe Type: BeveragesContinue ReadingINGREDIENTS ¾ cups frozen Florida orange juice concentrate, thawed 2 large mangoes, peeled and chopped 2 cups pineapple or lemon sherbet 1 ½ cups milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract PREPARATION In a blender container combine thawed concentrate and mangoes. Cover and blend until mixture is smooth. Add sherbet, mild, and vanilla; cover and blend until smooth. Serve immediately in tall glasses with straws. If desired, garnish with Florida orange slices and edible flowers. YIELD: 5 servings.
