Why You Should be Eating Florida Oranges

Potassium can be found in other fruits but not in the same concentration that can be found in Florida oranges.

These days many people are following low GI diets in order to combat unhealthy fat and eat a healthier diet that will help them reduce their risk of disease and live longer. The GI diet consists mainly of eating foods that are easily broken down by the body and used immediately for fuel instead of being broken down and stored as fat.

High GI foods, such as foods full of processed sugar and bleached flour, tend to not get broken down by the body very well and end up being stored as fat that can be extremely hard to get rid of. Using Florida oranges in cooking and as a part of a healthy diet is a great way to get the sweet taste you crave in foods while staying on a low GI diet and increasing your overall health. Florida oranges are inexpensive enough to be affordable on any budget, so treat yourself and your family to some healthy and delicious Florida oranges.
