Deck the Halls with Navel Oranges

This year use navel oranges as part of your holiday decorations to add some color and make your holiday decorations more festive. You can use navel oranges and other citrus fruits to decorate in dozens of different ways. Citrus fruit is wonderful for decorating with because your guests can eat the healthy fruit or just enjoy the bright colors. Keeping a basket of navel oranges, tangerines and other citrus fruits on the bar at holiday parties will make it easy for whoever is playing bartender to grab fresh fruit to juice for holiday cocktails and your guests can even choose their own. Baskets of navel oranges, Honeybells and other fruits are also great for holiday parties where children will be running around so that they can get their own healthy snacks. Here are some fun ways to use navel oranges to decorate this holiday season:

Navel oranges tied in garlands – Using garlands is a great way to decorate doorways, stair rails, and mantelpieces but so much green can look dark and overwhelming. To lighten up garlands and make them more festive you can string navel oranges, either singly or in clusters, at intervals in the garland. Tie ribbon around the garland and the fruit to keep everything in place, or use some craft glue to make sure everything stays together.

Navel oranges as centerpieces – Oranges and Honeybells together make beautiful centerpieces for the holidays. On a bed of spruce fronds lay a cluster of navel oranges topped with a festive Honeybell. Attach a bow to the top of the Honeybell. These simple centerpieces are beautiful, seasonal, and very cheap to make. These are ideal centerpieces for Christmas weddings, and you can write table numbers on the bright orange skins or stamp the outer skin with the couple’s name.

Navel oranges in the punchbowl – Punch is punch, and no matter how good it tastes it doesn’t always look very exciting. If you want your punch to have some pizzazz at holiday parties you can create an island in the middle of the punch bowl with an orange or grapefruit sorbet and on top of that some navel oranges, tangerines, and Honeybells. Use some single LED lights among the fruit for a spectacular effect. Your punch bowl will be transformed and your guests will be awed at your decorating abilities. Order your holiday navel oranges now and get decorating!
