If you’ve never enjoyed sweet, juicy peaches hot off the grill, you’re missing out on one of the joys of summer. Super-easy to prepare, grilled peaches go great with so many things…enjoy them alone or with a scoop of vanilla or butter pecan ice cream; add a dab of butter to the hollow where the pit was and sprinkle with brown sugar or swirl them in cream. They even go well in salads and make a great side with grilled meats!
Ingredients:
- 6 Hale Groves Sweet Georgia, Orchard Fresh or Farm-Fresh Peaches
- Olive oil
Directions:
• Preheat grill to medium.
• Halve each peach by running a sharp knife around the seam and separating the two sides, removing and discarding the pit. Brush the cut sides with olive oil.
• Place each peach half, cut-down down on the grill until grill marks appear (4-5 minutes).
• Flip peach halves onto skin-side and grill until skins are charred and flesh is soft (4-5 minutes). The fruit should be tender, but not falling-apart tender.
• Remove from grill. Serve with ice cream, whipped cream, butter and maple syrup, etc. These grilled peaches even go well with grilled pork!
