Marinated Vidalia Onion Slices Recipe

INGREDIENTS

4 Vidalia onions, sliced thin
1 cup water
½ cup vinegar
½ cup mayonnaise
½ teaspoon celery salt
1 cup sugar

PREPARATION

Combine Vidalia onion slices with water, vinegar and sugar.  Marinate for 4 hours.  Drain onions.  In a bowl combine onions with mayonnaise and celery salt.  Fold mixture.  Refrigerate.  Serve on a bed of lettuce.
