Easy Ways to Sneak Grapefruit Into Your Diet

But most people don’t want to eat the same thing every day and find it a huge chore to find ways to add fruit to their daily diet in ways that are convenient. If you have trouble finding the time to eat grapefruit, oranges, or other healthy fruits everyday there are easy ways that you sneak more fruit into your daily routine without getting bored. Use these ideas to find ways to get more healthy fruit everyday and after doing some of these for seven days you’ll be in the habit of eating delicious healthy grapefruit everyday:

Stash fruit in places you spend time in every day – Instead of visiting the vending machine at work to get a snack buy a box of grapefruit and store the fruit in your break room, or in your desk drawer, or on a shelf in your cubicle. Having delicious fruit within easy reach will help you choose a delicious healthy snack over an unhealthy one and will also help you get more fruit into your diet. You can also keep some fruit in the glovebox of the car, or in your purse or briefcase. Buying a box of citrus fruit so that you always have plenty around is the best way to make sure you never run out of fruit.

Add fruit juice to your favorite foods – If you really can’t face the thought of a grapefruit for breakfast instead of your favorite smoothie, pancakes, or other breakfast foods try using grapefruit juice or orange juice instead of water in your usual breakfast. Make pancakes and French toast with fruit juice instead of water in the baking mix. Mix some citrus juice into your smoothie instead of water. Or have a glass of juice instead of water or tea with your morning toast. Instead of using a heavy creamy dressing on your salad at lunch use a citrus vinaigrette dressing. Skip the afternoon soda and use fruit juice for a natural energy rush. Have a combination of Honeybell juice and grapefruit juice after your workout instead of water or a sports drink. Simple substitutions are an easy way to get the benefits of fruit. You won’t get all of the same benefits but you will get enough to notice a difference in your health.
