Crafting Orange Pomander Balls is a simple and aromatic way to add a traditional touch to your holiday decor.

You can create these long-lasting DIY ornaments with minimal ingredients and basic tools to brighten your home or share the festive spirit with others this season.

Let’s dive into the easy steps for making these delightful holiday decorations!

Ingredients and Tools:

  • 4 to 6 Hale Groves Navel Oranges (or more if desired)
  • ½ Cup whole cloves
  • 1 nail or toothpick
  • 1 or more rubber bands
  • Ribbon or string
  • Long craft needle

Directions:

  1. Wash and dry oranges. Using a rubber band placed around your orange as a guide, make rings of holes using a nail or toothpick.
  2. Insert cloves in each hole to form the patterns. You can also be creative and make spirals, groupings, or any design you like.
  3. Once decorated, insert a ribbon or string through the center of the fruit using the long craft needle.
  4. Hang ornaments in a cool, dry, ventilated location for 1 to 2 weeks to dry. The dried DIY Orange Pomander Balls should last all season or longer.
