A Look Inside the Groves – February 2022 Hale Groves Update

From the Groves:

Temples: The temple crop is coming along as scheduled. The cold weather over the last few weeks has brought on a rich orange color for both the inside and outside of the fruit. These delicious little beauties will only have them available for a few weeks.

Honeybell Update: In early December, we had some cool nights that were bringing the Honeybells along nicely. Just before Christmas, and into the new year, the weather warmed up and slowed the maturity up a bit. Luckily, we’ve had some cold weather for a few weeks which has brought on that Honeybell orange color that tells us the fruit is ready. We’ve been back to harvesting since the 17th and hope to continue through the end of next week..
