A Look Inside the Groves – February 2024 Grove Update!
Temple Oranges:
With favorable weather, we’re really encouraged by the progress of our temple crop. Our testing shows exceptionally high brix at 13, meaning they are sampling deliciously sweet this year.
We are beginning to see color breaking, and expect the recent cooler weather to help deliver Temple’s famously deep orange color! These little beauties will only be around for a limited time so get them while supplies last!
Honeybells:
Our Hale Honeybells are now evenly colored, and we are seeing exceptional quality from our groves. We are sampling a great overall size and deliciously sweet citrus this year and expect the crop to be a star this late winter into spring season!
Internal quality is a dark orange flesh with some acid but good sugar. The way things are looking, we believe this season is going to be sweetly satisfying!
