Easy Caramel Apple Salad

This sweet and fresh-tasting twist on Watergate salad is a wonderful fall treat! Easy to assemble with just a few simple ingredients, it blends sweet, tart, and salty flavors. Butterscotch pudding and pineapple make this stand out from similar salads. Yummy! Serves 12.

Ingredients:

2 c. Hale Groves Orchard Fresh Apples, chopped

1 (8 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple

1 (3.4 oz.) package instant butterscotch pudding mix

1 c. peanuts, skins removed

Directions:

  • Stir together whipped topping, pineapple, and butterscotch pudding mix in a bowl until smooth. Fold chopped premium apples and peanuts into pudding mixture until salad is well mixed.
  • Refrigerate salad until completely chilled (at least 30 minutes) before serving.

Orange Fig Salad

This salad makes a delightful light side dish or appetizer that’s simple and on the table in under 30 minutes. The flavors go beautifully together. In place of gourmet oranges, you can also try it with our tangy Hale Groves Honeybells when they’re in season. A raspberry vinaigrette adds extra fresh fruit flavor. Serves 4.

Ingredients:

2 Grove Navel Oranges, peeled, pith removed, and cut into segments

2 heads romaine lettuce, chopped

½ c. crumbled Gorgonzola cheese

2 fresh figs, cut into 1″ cubes

¼ c. vinaigrette dressing

Directions:

  • Combine lettuce, oranges fruit, cheese, and figs in a large bowl.
  • Drizzle dressing over all and toss to coat. Serve immediately.

Crisp Apples with Citrus Dressing

Looking for a light and healthy lunch for one? Try this delicious salad that combines orchard and citrus fruit for a sweet and tangy flair! The recipe can be increased, making it perfect as a picnic dish. Goes well with grilled dishes. Feel free to use Grove Navel Oranges in place of the Tangerines if you like and use less juice to enjoy a thicker dressing. Serves 1.

Ingredients:

1 Hale Groves Orchard Fresh Apple, cored and cut into chunks

2 Hale Groves Honey-Sweet Tangerines, juiced – divided

1 Tbsp. sour cream

1 Tbsp. mayonnaise

1 tsp. granulated sugar

1 pinch salt

Directions:

  • Toss apple chunks together in a bowl with two teaspoons of tangerine juice.
  • Whisk remaining tangerine juice, sour cream, mayonnaise, sugar, and salt in a bowl until sugar and salt have dissolved.
  • Pour dressing over apple and toss. Serve immediately.
