Ingredients

1 Medium Grapefruit, peeled, seeded, cut into sections, and juice reserved
1 Large Apple, cored and peeled
2 Cups Fresh Spinach.
1 Large, Ripe Banana, peeled, sliced, and frozen
2 or 3 large ice cubes
1/2 Cup Unsweet Almond Milk
1/2 tsp Fresh Ginger, peeled and grated

Directions

Peel, slice, and freeze the ripe banana overnight in a single layer in an airtight container. Work over a bowl to peel, seed, and cut the grapefruit so you can catch all the juice. Combine all ingredients (including saved grapefruit juice) into a blender pitcher and blend until smooth. Add extra ice cubes to thicken, or extra milk to thin as you blend to desired consistency. Serve with a large straw and enjoy.

Tips

Substitute your favorite milk, such as oat or coconut if desired.

Freeze the prepared smoothie in ice trays, store frozen for up to a month, then simply let thaw slightly and blend to enjoy.

Add protein powder for a well-rounded meal replacement smoothie.
