They are a great source of vitamins A and C, both good for developing cells and boosting the immune system. They also contain 92 percent water and tons of soluble fiber which can help make you feel full longer than other food, thus help curb your appetite and aid in weight loss. Grapefruits are also good for the heart because the nutrients in them can help lower bad cholesterol, and at the same time prevent fats and plaques from developing along the arteries of the heart, which can cause heart diseases.

  1. Drain grapefruit sections, reserving 1/4 cup juice.
  2. Combine grapefruit sections, juice, and remaining ingredients in a medium bowl. Toss gently to coat. Serve immediately, or cover and chill.
