  • 4 servings of your favorite rice, prepared
  • 1 Full Chicken Breast cut into chunks (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 1 Tbs Sesame Oil
  • Zest of 1 Gold Nugget Tangerine
  • 1/2 Cup Gold Nugget Tangerine juice
  • 1/3 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 Cup Honey
  • 3 Tbs Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 3 Tbs Cornstarch and 3 Tbs Water (mixed)
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1/4 tsp Ginger Powder
  • 4 Scallions, chopped small
  • Sesame Seeds for garnish

  1. Cook your favorite rice according to package directions and set aside, covered.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sesame oil then the chicken breast chunks and cook for about 6 minutes, stirring, until all sides are lightly browned. Remove from heat, drain excess juices, cover, and set aside.
  3. Using a small to medium saucepan, add Gold Nugget Tangerines juice, zest, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, black pepper, red pepper, and ginger. Stir well and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat. Mix together the cornstarch and water, then add the mixture to the boiling sauce. Reduce heat to low, stir well, and simmer for about three minutes to thicken the sauce.
  4. Add the sauce to the chicken in the skillet, and warm over low to medium-low heat until the sauce begins to simmer. Stir several times while simmering. Serve over bowls of cooked rice and top with chopped scallions and a sprinkling of sesame seeds.
