Florida Oranges: the Healthy Alternative to High Calorie Snacks

As more people become health-conscious, they look for other ways to satisfy their cravings for sweets. It goes beyond simply cutting and peeling an orange and eating it-that could become boring very quickly for many people. They want something that tastes different, something that really satisfies their craving for sweets without adding additional sugar and other unhealthy ingredients. If you are interested in eating healthier snacks, you need to learn to be creative and not rely on things you find in a cookbook.

Florida oranges are extremely versatile and can be prepared in many different ways. They are appropriate foods to serve at any meal-breakfast, lunch and dinner. In fact, many people make it a point to consume a bowl of fruit with breakfast or as a replacement for other breakfast foods, and orange juice is a very old staple that is not only tasty but healthy if you take the time to use Florida oranges and squeeze the juice yourself. This makes perfect sense because when you squeeze Florida oranges and make your own orange juice you know exactly what is in it.

It can be a difficult choice to make-learning how to replace those high calorie snacks with Florida oranges-but it is something every person needs to do for their own health. That doesn’t mean you cannot treat yourself occasionally because all of us are guilt of indulgence on occasion, but the key is learning to limit how often we consume empty calories, an old habit that will take a little time to break.
