Bacon Pear Salad with Parmesan Garlic Dressing

Whether you serve it for a weeknight dinner or a holiday gathering, it’s sure to impress! Tip: for less of a spicy kick, substitute Monterey Jack for the Pepper Jack cheese.


For the salad:

2 Hale Groves Pears, thinly sliced

2 c. leaf lettuce, chopped

2 c. fresh kale, chopped

1 c. Pepper Jack cheese, shredded

4 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled

For the dressing:

¼ c. mayonnaise

1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard

2 tsp. Parmesan cheese, grated

½ tsp. garlic powder

? tsp. pepper

2-3 Tbsp. milk



  • For the salad: In a large bowl, combine lettuce and kale. Top with pears, cheese and bacon.
  • For the dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, mustard, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder and pepper. Gradually whisk in enough milk to reach desired consistency. Drizzle over salad; toss to coat.
