Hale Groves Easter Orange Cake


Super-easy to make, this refreshing dessert is especially pretty when baked in a Bundt pan and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Enjoy it plain with coffee or tea, or top it with whipped cream and orange slices for a lovely springtime or Easter dessert!


3 c. flour

2 tsp. baking powder

2 c. sugar

1 c. butter, softened

1 tsp. vanilla

5 large eggs, at room temperature

1 c. orange juice, at room temperature

2 tsp. orange peel, at room temperature


Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, blend together flour, baking powder and sugar. In a separate bowl, mix together butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs one at a time and mix well. Slowly stir in dry ingredients until just blended. Add mixture to a greased and floured Bundt cake pan and bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from pan, cool, and sift powdered sugar over top.
