Hale Groves Peach Skewers with Prosciutto and Mozzarella

This easy appetizer is perfect for a summer cookout. As easy and fun as a summer day, each hors d’oeuvre holds sweet and savory flavor in every bite, with a dash of refreshment from the lemon juice.


6 Hale Groves Orchard Fresh or Sweet Georgia Peaches, sliced into thick wedges

8 oz. mozzarella ciglione balls

8 oz. prosciutto slices

12 oz. basil leaves

2 Tbsp. lemon juice

5 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

1/16 tsp. salt

1/16 tsp. black pepper

4” bamboo skewers


  • Half each peach wedge. Fold a basil leaf in half and thread it onto a skewer. Tear prosciutto slice in half, fold and add to skewer with basil. Add mozzarella ball, then peach chunk. Repeat with remaining peaches, basil leaves, prosciutto slices and skewers. Lay skewers on a platter.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper. Drizzle over peach skewers. Season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
