When first introduced, smoothies were an instant success. Aside from the fact that they are nutritious, easy to make, quick to take on the go, and refreshing, they also taste good ? like eating dessert but with more vitamins and nutrition.
There are many flavor options available, but one of my all time favorites is the Orange Peach Smoothie because it is sweet and tasty, plus it is packed with nutrients to boost the immune system and provide energy. Peaches provide their unique taste, and oranges add a refreshing, sweet flavor.
But did you know that sweet oranges and most citrus fruits are not originally from the United States but Asia? Sweet oranges originated in China and were a hybrid between mandarin and pomelo. Orange trees are cultivated and widely grown in areas or regions with tropical and subtropical climates. To date, oranges are the mostly widely produced citrus fruit, accounting for 70% of all citrus production.
