Southern Fried Apples Recipe


This simple recipe is a great way to add a sweet touch to a savory meal. Apples and cinnamon combine in this traditional side dish, that can be a tasty dessert as well. Gather the four ingredients and make these Southern Fried Apples today.


  • ½ Cup Butter
  • ½ Cup Sugar
  • 2 Tbs Ground Cinnamon
  • 4 Hale Groves Apples, peeled, cored, and sliced


  1. In a large skillet melt butter over medium heat. Stir in sugar and cinnamon. Add apples and cook for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat if needed to keep apples from sticking. Serve warm as a side dish to any breakfast, lunch or dinner. These yummy fried apples also make an excellent dessert, served with your favorite vanilla ice cream. Enjoy.
