    INGREDIENTS ¾ cup oil 2 eggs 1 ¼ cups sugar 2 cups flour 1 tsp baking powder Juice of 1 lemon or 2 teaspoons lemon juice Nuts – coconut if desired 2 teaspoon baking soda ½ teaspoon salt 2 teaspoon cinnamon 1 cup raisins 2 cups mango – diced fine PREPARATION Mix well and let stand 20 minutes in baking pans before cooking.     INGREDIENTS 1 1/3 cup apple juice 2 tablespoon orange juice concentrate 1 tablespoon honey 1 ½ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon cinnamon 1/3 cup diced apple ¼ cup wheat gluten 3 ¼ cup whole- wheat fl our ½ cup oats (quick oats) 3 teaspoon yeast PREPARATION Mix in the order recommended by your bread maker. This uses the powdered milk white/wheat setting on the Black & Decker. This makes a good-sized loaf, and it has a lovely aroma.     INGREDIENTS ½ cup of butter or vegetable shortening ¾ cups sugar 2 eggs 2/3 cup of raw mango, cut fine 2 cups sifted flour 1 teaspoon of soda 1 tablespoon of lime juice ¼ teaspoons salt PREPARATION Cream shortening and add sugar.  Add eggs.  Stir in dry ingredients, mangos and lime juice.  Mix all together.  Add ½ cup of chopped nuts.  Bake in a loaf pan at 375 degrees for 1 hour.  Do not cut until the second day.

  • Cranberry Bread Recipe

    INGREDIENTS 2 eggs, beaten 1 cup Hale orange juice ¼ cup water 2 grated orange rinds ¼ cup melted butter 4 cups flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon baking powder 2 cups sugar 1 cup chopped nuts 2 cups chopped cranberries PREPARATION Combine first five ingredients.  Sift dry ingredients and blend well with creamed mixture.  Add nuts and cranberries.  Turn into 2 greased and wax-paper lined loaf pans.  Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes.  Lower heat to 300 degrees and bake 40 minutes more.  Remove bread from pans and peel wax paper before cooling.  You may freeze bread.

    INGREDIENTS Rind of one Hale orange 1 cup Hale orange juice 1 egg 3 tablespoons salad oil ¾ cup sugar plus 2 tablespoons ½ cup finely chopped nuts 2 cups unsifted flour 2 teaspoons baking powder ½ teaspoon baking soda ½ teaspoon salt PREPARATION Squeeze juice from orange; add more to make 1 cup.  Cut up rind and put with juice in blender.  Blend at high speed until rind is finely chopped.  Add egg and oil; blend at high speed.  Mix flour and remaining ingredients (except nuts) in bowl; add orange mixture from blender, and mix until dry ingredients are…
